John Nicolson has responsibility for legal, regulatory and compliance matters across Ripple Prime’s Americas business, including its U.S. SEC-registered broker-dealer and CFTC-registered futures commission merchant.

He joined Hidden Road in 2022, while the business was still at an early stage, and helped build the U.S. legal and regulatory infrastructure that supported its growth through to its $1.25 billion acquisition by Ripple in 2025.

Before joining Hidden Road, he spent more than a decade at Bank of America advising institutional markets businesses through significant regulatory and market-structure change.
